Abstract
Objective: To study the early diagnosis of facial schwannoma and the preservation of the facial nerve function during operation. Methods: The clinical manifestation, imaging features and treatment of 3 cases of primary facial schwannoma in tympanic cavity were reported. Results: Three of schwannoma facial were removed completely and the facial nerve were remained, intact in 2cases, the facial nerve was grafted in one case and the function of the facial nerve was Brackmann Ⅲ grade 2 years after surgery. Conclusions: The facial schwannoma in tympanic cavity can be removed by trans mastoid surgery operation, the facial nerve function remained better in cases with preserved facial nerve.
