On the Meanings of the Adverb 还(also) in Rhetorical Questions

Abstract
The adverb 还(also) is frequently used in the Chinese rhetorical questions to help form a rhetorical mood.The article has made a statistical study of 还(also) in the rhetorical questions in eleven parts of the TV serial Editorial Department's Story and Thunderstorm,and concludes that this adverb has four kinds of meaning in rhetorical questions,that is,the continuity of an action or state;increment;metalinguistic increment;un-expectation.
