Abstract

Objective To approach preoperative localization value in non-palpable breast lesions guided by high-frequency ultrasound. Methods Preoperative localization was performed using wire needle guided by high-frequency ultrasound in seventy nine non-palpable breast lesions of 58 women. Results Seventy nine non-palpable breast lesions were radically excised in ultrasound locatization.Eight of these lesions were malignant. Conclusions Preoperative localization guided by high-frequency ultrasound appears to be a simple, quick and accurate method for non-palpable breast lesions.
