Abstract
Shabaosi gold deposit occurrs in Middle Jurassic limnic clastic rocks. It includes six mineralized belts with about NS trending, and the distance between the belts is 200~400 m. The ore types are mainly altered sandstone and tectonoclastic altered rock. Gold mineralization is closely related to the silicated pyritization belt. The deposit can be divided into four metallogenic epochs and seven metallogenic stages. The ore belt is controlled by faults and the study of sulfur isotope indicates that part of metallogenic materials are from the depth with magmatic activity. The intrusive rocks paticipate in the mineralization and provide part of metallogenic materials. Based on six discovered gold stream sediment anomalies in the research area (anomaly value is up to 20 3×10 -9 ), and the characteristics of regional structure, magmatic activity, it is predicted that Ⅱ and Ⅲ orebodies are the main, and the buried orebody and blind orebody should be seeked in the depth of orebodies and south of mining area. In the peripheral mining area, the clastic altered and quartz vein types of gold deposit should be seeked in the favorable basement structures, Middle Jurassic strata and their inner/outer contact zones with the rock body.
