Abstract

The article studies the folk sport culture of the Baiku Yao (meaning the Yao wearing white trousers) in Nandan from the perspective of primitive religion. It finds out that the Baiku Yao people has the primitive religious complex of natural worship, totem worship, and ancestor worship. Primitive religion has played a positive role in the development of folk sport culture of the Baiku Yao. Due to the existence of primitive religion, folk sport culture of the Baiku Yao has a long history, rich content, ethnic characteristics and life flavor.
