Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Piperacillin/tazobactam for acute stroke-associated pneumonia.METHODS 83 cases of acute stroke-associated pneumonia patients who were microbiologically diagnosed were randomized into Piperacillin/tazobactam group and Ceftazidime group,and sputum culture was undertaken twice after treatment.RESULTS The total efficacy rates and bacterial clean rates in Piperacillin/tazobactam group and Ceftazidime group were 90.48%,92.86% and 70.73%,75.61% respectively,and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant.CONCLUSIONS It suggests that Piperacillin/tazobactam is a more effective drug for acute stroke-associated pneumonia.
