Abstract

In his Landscape Aesthetics, Mr. Wang Changjun starts from the of landscape to discuss the question of What is Beauty. He gives a very broad definition of beauty as life, guided by which he then advances his five-part aesthetics of landscape: first, landscape must be achieved as a whole; second, landscape must unite subjectivity and objectivity; third, landscape must be in steps with time; fourth, landscape must be synchronic; fifth, landscape must be of utility. Landscape Aesthetics is the unity of metaphysics and physics; it offers a new thinking of how to create landscape beauty, establishing a comprehensive theoretical system.
