Abstract

Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction is common in patients with cardiovascular disease.Using the frequency spectrum of mitral valve blood flow is classic testing method for ventricular diastolic function, but it has several limitations.Doppler tissue imaging is a new technique to analyse myocardial movement by using the Doppler principle, including myocardium velocity imaging, quantitative tissue velocity imaging, and tissue tracking and strain/strain rate.
