Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between streptococcal superantigen and psoriasis and reveal the specific activity of psoriatic peripheral blood T lymphocytes. Methods Skin tissue was cultivated respectively with psoriatic T lymphocytes, normal T lymphocytes,as well as psoriatic T lymphocytes and normal T lymphocytes simulated by streptococcol superantigen(SAg). Immunohistochemistry method was performed to detect c myc,bcl 2 and p53 proteins in epidermis. Results The epidermal c myc,bcl 2 and p53 proteins both in normal human skin and psoriatic uninvolved skin co cultivated with psoriatic T cells showed significant difference respectively compared with those co cultivated with normal T cells ( P 0.05). Influence of psoriastic T lymphocytes stimulated by SAg on epidermal c myc,bcl 2 and p53 protein had no statistical difference with that un stimulated by SAg ( P 0.05). Normal human derived T lymphocytes activated by SAg could not play significant role in c myc,bcl 2 and p53 proteins in epidermis ( P 0.05) .Conclusion Psoriatic T lymphocytes have been activated in peripheral blood and the activation are obviously different from normal T cells activated with SAg. The specific activity of psoriatic T cells may play an important role in psoriatic abnormal epidermal dynamics and the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
