On the Mode Characteristics of Dong People Polyphonic Folk Songs in Tongdao Qingwuzhou

Abstract

Tongdao Dong Autonomous County,located in the south of Huaihua,is the area with well protected and well-preserved Dong national culture.There are lots of national culture resources,such as Dong songs,dances,Dong pipa which has been so popular in folk civilization with its ethnic characters and research value.Among them,polyphonic folk song is the typical representative in Dong people folk songs.It has the distinct characteristic of its performance,musical structure and symphonic form.The writer studied it by field survey and explored the mode characteristics of polyphonic folk songs based on original data.
