Abstract
Translation is an advanced thinking activity of human being and a rather complicated social phenomenon as well. It has aroused people s reflection and debate, while translation criticism which views translation activity as its subject is also constandy argued about. These arguments centered on the nature of translation criticism, its function, criteria and, methodology. Till now there is no final conclusion presented.
