Discussion on Fireproof and Fire-retardant for Distribution Cable and Its Precaution Measures

This paper analyzed and discussed the necessity of cable fireproof in urban distribution network, precaution measures for cable fireproof and fire-retardant, and the existent problems in application of fire-retardant cable in Taiyuan power network. To prevent cable fire accident, the system scheme was presented for cable fireproof and fire-retardant in Shanxi from material type selecting to early inspection and prevention efficiently in later stage, which can be as reference for relevant design, construction and operation maintenance.
