Abstract

The capacity of cartilage tissue for regeneration is limited.Engineered cartilage is very useful for repairing cartilage defects. This article introduces the development of cartilage tissue engineering including the research of seeding chondrocytes,co culture in vitro and transplantation in vivo of chondrocytes and its scaffolds as well as the clinical application of chondrocytes.
