Abstract
A spatial multiplexing MIMO scheme with beamforming was proposed. The proposed scheme combines spatial multiplexing and beamforming, which has the advantages of both techniques. It is able to transmit parallel data streams as well as combating interference and noise efficiently and improve the system performance significantly. The proposed scheme provides better BER performance and greater spectrum efficiency than VBLAST and beamforming techniques under the same simulation environment.
