Serology Results of 75 Cases of Neonatal Congenital Syphilis of Children and Natural Mother

Objective To analyze the serological test results characteristics of neonatal congenital syphilis (NCS) children and their natural mother,and provide the scientific reference for diagnosis of NCS. Methods Data of serological test results of NCS children and mother's were from part of the medical institutions in Bao'an District in the past seven years,serological results were retrospectively analyzed. Results Seventy-five cases of newborns were clinically diagnosed as NCS,53 cases were serum TRUST titer ≥ 1∶ 16(accounting for 70. 67%) ,TPPA and 19S-IgM-TPPA were positive. There were 27(36. 00%) cases of NCS TRUST titer ≥ 4 times of maternal titer,and these newborns TRUST titer ≥ 1∶ 16. Conclusion 19S-IgM-TPPA joint TRUST and TPPA testing can improve the NCS,especially neonatal congenital latent syphilis (NCLS) diagnostic accuracy; neonatal TRUST serum titer ≥ 1∶ 16,and (or) maternal serological TRUST titer≥ 1∶ 16 at birth is a value reference to the early diagnosis of NCS.
