Abstract
Objective:Using diffusion tensor imaging to show corticospinal tract in patients with ischaemic stroke.Methods:30 patients with ischaemic stroke involved the posterior limb of the internal capsule or corona radiata were studied with DTI(b value=0,500s/mm2) and routine MRI.Post processing was made on Siemens leonardo workstation. Results:FA values of infarct areas were declined and ADCs were raised. The patients with corticospinal tract runing through the infarct made a poor recovery, those not runing through the infarct made an excellent recovery.Conclusion:3D tractography can noninvasively show the spatial relationship of corticospinal tract and infarct areas. It is useful in evaluating the recovery of motor function.
