Abstract
The adsorption capacity of methylene blue in wastewater by activated carbon was measured, thus having systematically studied the Property about the intermissive adsorption of methylene blue. The thermodynamic parameters such as △G0、△H0 and △S0 have been calculated. The results show that the property of adsorption depends on adsorption time、pH and temperature. The adsorption of activated carbon for Methylene Blue fits well with the pseudo-second-rate equation and Langmuir isotherm model. The higher pH of dyestuff wastewater is,the better treatment effect can be obtained.Meanwhile, the adsorption of activated carbon for Methylene is a spontaneously and endothermically physical process, temperature increases being beneficial to adsorption.
