An Empirical Study on Spillover Effect of Economic Growth in South Coastal Region in China

Based on the data in bare flows from multiregional IOT in China's 8 regions and with Mill Round Model,this paper measured the intraregional multiplier effect of south coastal region and the interregional spillover effect between south coastal region and other 7 regions in China.Result shows that south coastal region has strong spillover effect to other 7 regions and plays a leading role in China's economic development;it has relatively weak spillover effect from other 7 regions due to its outward-oriented economy features; the interregional spillover effect is stronger between south coastal region and its contiguous regions,such as east coastal region,central region and southwest region,than that between south coastal region and other regions.
