Abstract

A new approach of absorbing sulfur dioxide by using amine solution is proposed at atmosphere.Three kinds of organic amine(ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine) are used as absorbents to absorb sulfur dioxide in the bubbling reactor. The multi-system of triethylenetetramine-amines-water solution used in absorbing sulfur dioxide is innvestigated. The factors of the initial pH value, the absorbent concentration and the ratio of organic amine on the absorption of sulfur dioxide are studied. The results show that the optimal experimental parameters for absorbing sulfur dioxide are: the initial pH is about 6~7,the concentration of organic amine is about 5/200~8/200(volumetric ratio),the ratio of diethylenetriamine to triethylenetetramine is 4/1.Under such conditions, the organic amine solution resuts in the best efficiency of absorbing sulfur dioxide.
