Abstract

Objective:To explore curative effect of surgical treatment for myasthenia gravis.Method:Thirty-five patients with myasthenia gravis were treated by extended thymectomy.(inclusion thymoma).Result:There was one patient opertive death.The follow-up was from 2 months to 5 years.3 cases died within 5 years.14 cases were remission,16 cases were improved and 2 cases had no change.Conclusion:Extended thymectomy is excellent operation procedure for patients with myasthenia gravis.Eatly tracheostoy and assisted respiratory support are very important in the management of crisis.
