Abstract

Infection of rotavirus (RV) in neonates increased in recent years, epidemiological genotypes were different between neonates and children. The virulence of some strains reinforced or became new combination genotype in neonates through reassortment, recombination, mutation and so on, these strains infected children and formed novel strains, caused easily caused the outbreak of diarrhea. We reviewed the characteristics and molecular epidemiology of rotavirus among neonates.
