Abstract
Supply chain management has become an important common issue to enterprises and scholars in a technology-driven global market, while inventory control is one of its crucial parts. Inventory-distribution system composed of K warehouses and Nk retail stores in a supply chain is studied in this paper. Supposing items demand to be correlated both across distribution centers and correlated in time, according to the observation and analysis of an actual distribution system, an optimal model of multistage inventory control is developed to minimize the total cost of inventory and transportation in the system with certain service levels.
