Abstract
Water mist suppression system is used to protect water sensitive environments, such as rare book collections in libraries. This work experimentally studied the feasibility and limitation of using water mist to extinguish and suppress the library fires. The efficiency of water mist is investigated by exploring its relationships with ignition location and fire size.
