Abstract
The test conditions and main results of wind tunnel test for a stadium canopy roof are introduced. The mean and fluctuating wind pressures of the canopy roof are obtained and analyzed. The block shape coefficients of the roof are then derived and ratios between the fluctuating wind pressures to total wind loads are discussed. The design wind loads for cladding structure by using the code method and statistical method are computed and then compared. Results show that the upwind fluctuating wind pressure coefficients of the leading edge of the canopy roof are comparatively large, and the wind loads for cladding structure from the code method are smaller than those from the statistical method.
