Evaluation of Field Control Efficiency of Different Insecticides on Larvae of Contarinia pyrivor (Riley)

Abstract

Field control efficiency of 12 kinds of insecticide with 16 treatments on larvae of Contarinia pyrivora was evaluated in the paper. The results showed that these insecticides such as diafenthiuron 50% SC,nitenpyram 10% AS,mixture of dichlorovos 80% EC with avermectins 2% EC or β-cypermethrin 4.5% EC or imidacloprid 10% WP had good rapidly and durable effect against the insect pest,especially mixture of dichlorovos and avermectins. On the 3rd to 5th days after treatment,control efficacies of these insecticides to C. pyrivora were 99.0-80.1%,85.2-80.1%,94.3-94.4%,89.5-87.1% and 87.4-83.8%,respectively. While dichlorovos 80% EC had good rapidly available and bad durable effect,its control effect was 87.8-67.4%. Avermectins 2% EC,methylamino abamectin benzoate 5% SG,chlorpyrifos 40% EC,imidacloprid·chlorbenzuron 25% WP,acetamiprid 5% WP,imidacloprid 10% WP,β-cypermethrin 4.5% EC,cyromazine 75% WP and fipronil 5% SC had no significant control effects to the pest,their highest control effect were less than 77%.
