Abstract
Objective To study the changes of the lateral soft tissue profile of the patients who had mandibular prognathism with maxillary deficiency.Methods X-ray cephalometry of 20 consecutive patients was taken before and after operation . All data were analyzed by SPSS software.Results The mean ratios of soft tissue to hard tissue were as follows:LI:li=0.92;Si:B=0.97;PG:pg=0.92. Regression formula was established.Conclusion There wasn't a correlation between maxillary soft tissue and hard tissue changes, but there was a correlation between mandibular soft tissue and hard tissue changes.
