Abstract
A new kind of simple octree-encoding spatial decomposition algorithm based on atetrahedron root has been developed for the fully automatic generation of 3D finite-element meshes. Thisoffers a solution tO mesh generation which is one of the difficult problem in 3D electric magneticfiled computation. This paper starts from elaborating the basic algorithm of octree, and thenchooses the boundary representation method to construct the geometry. The basic process of tetrahedraloctree spatial decomposition for using directly in finite element analysis is described. Finally the resultof a model decomposition is given.
