Abstract

It was difficult to characterize the distribution of sedimentary facies only using well data because of the wide well spacing and the quick lateral facies variation in PG Gas Field. To deal with the both problems, stratimagic seismic facies analysis was used to take full advantage of high resolution of 3D seismic data.It chose appropriate parameters to analyze the seismic facies of target zones, establish the relationship between seismic facies and sedimentary facies and then get the distribution of sedimentary facies through combining the single well microfacies analysis in the main seismic facies unit. This method makes up the limitation of studying sedimentary facies only using well data, and improves the accuracy of it.
