There are abundant historic sites in Xingrheng, the ancient city, among which the ancient city wall is one of the four ancient city walls in existence. Rich historic heritages are the base of the development of Xingcheng city so the history arded in the process of developing and renewing the cities. Problems on the cognition and practice existed in the construction and development of Xingcheng city are analyzed and the urban renewal and protective measures of Xingcheng ancient city are put forward combined with the theory of urban renewal.
