Abstract
It is discussed that the friction and wear properties of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composites filled with different mix materials made of nanocrystalline and graphite. The friction and wear tests were carried out using MM200 wear tester. The worn surfaces of PTFE composites were examined by the scanning electric microscopy (SEM). It is found that the addition of nanocrystalline and graphite not only increases the wear resistance of PTFE, but also results in changing the friction coefficient of the material. The three materials have different properties of antiwear. The SiO2graphitePTFE has excellent tribology property. The raising of the wear load increases the wear mass loss of PTFE composites.
