Study on the Basic Blue as the Indicator for Precipitation Titration

Abstract

In this paper,it was found that the basic blue 2RL can be used as the absorption indicator of titration for I-and Br-.With titration acidity of pH 3.5～5.2,temperature of about 60℃,the solution turned quickly colorless from blue at the end point,titration error is 0.09% for I-and 0.34% for Br-,respectively.This result demonstrated that basic blue could be a new indicator for precipitation titration.
