The Historical Logic Between the Restatement of May 4th and the Birth of Chinese Contemporary Literature

The facts of literary history are not a purely neutral concept,on the contrary,the facts,as an unrepeatable past,are forever a historical product made up of some words and phrases.Thus,which kind of narration as the fact can project itself in the literary history depends on which kind of manipulating power grants the expressive authority to this narration.Based on this theoretical premise,the so-called restatement of the May 4th is to investigate how revolutionary literature left-wing literature,and Yan'an literature,became the preliminary form of contemporary literature to comment on the narrow-scaled modern literature,which is the new literature of May 4th.We hope that,in this way of destructive interpretation,narration and restatement,the splitting of modern literature on the turning point of literary history and the historical vision of establishing the contemporary literature could be revealed.
