Abstract
Soil has high spatial variability and geostatistics methods can be powerful tools for characterizing spatial distributions of soil properties.Soil texture is one of important soil physical properties,to estimate it’s spatial variability is a important issue in agriculture. In this study, the geostatistics methods was applied to analyze semi-variogram of soil texture,in the range of soil layer between 0~30 cm,30~60 cm,and 60~100 cm in Karamay arid ecological agricultural region. The results showed that the component characteristic of different size of soil granules was quite similar, the average of silt content was all highest in the whole research region. And the spatial variability of soil granules was very strong in the whole soil layer, especially the spatial variability of sand content was very projective.Besides silt of bottom layer, the theory model of semi-variogram were all spherical model, soil granules of all soil layer take on somewhat strong spatial structure,auto-correlation distance varied from 6km to 9km or so.Based on semi-variogram,ordinary Kriging was carried out to interpolate different size of soil granules in the range of soil layer 0~30 cm,the results showed that the distribution characteristics of the soil granules in accordance with the distribution features of geology physiognomy of research region.
