Abstract
A kind of bio-additive extracted up from tropic plant is used to improve gasoline burning efficiency. The bioadditive was added into four kinds of commercially used gasoline with octane number of 93,which are super-clean gasoline, prime gasoline, prime gasoline with known components and ethanol-gasoline.Through engine bench testing, fuel economy with and without the bio-additives were compared and analyzed. The results showed that when engine operating on the fuels with the bio-additive,engine fuel economy could be improved remarkably, the effect is particularly obvious for ethanol-gasoline.Engine fuel economy with addition of bio-additives can reach the same level as that of using prime gasoline.
