Abstract
dispute over the novel The Making of the Hero by the ex-soviet writer Nikolai Ostrovsky has become a hot topic in academic circles in recent years and which results in a discussion of literary classic.The present article attempts to have a new interpretation on it through analyzing the literary classic and its formation from the perspective of cultural poetry.Either ideologically or aesthetically,the novel is not much of a true literary classic.It is unnecessary for us to sing high praise of it or to completely negate it because the readers have their own choices in such a multicultural time.
