Abstract

With reference to the construction of Contract 7,Line 4 of Guangzhou City Rail Transit,this paper makes a comparison between the deck and under-deck traveling launching gantries to be used for cantilever erection of full-span precast segmental concrete girders,and gives an account of the structure,performance of the selected LG460 t(530 t) deck traveling launching gantry and also the installation and tests of the gantry during construction.
