Abstract

Perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS)and perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)are emerging persistent organic pollutants(POPs).As typical representatives of POCs,PFOS and PFOA are of growing concern.In this review,we summarized recent progress about their application,sources,transport,distribution,fate,degradation and toxicity.Finally,the emphases of future research on ecotoxicology of PFOS/PFOA were suggested.
