Abstract

Objective To study the epidemiology and clinical feature of measles in 2008.Methods Retrospective survey and analysis were carried out on 239 measles cases. Results All 239 patients (including 126 males and 113 females),the male and female ratio was 1.12∶1,average age was 29.4 years old and the out-of-towner accounts 37.66%.The morbidity concentrates in April and May.Among all the cases,74.1% were serum IgM positive, temperature higher than 39℃ accounted 82.43%,cases complicated by acute bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, acute laryngitis and liver damage were 43 cases (17.99%),23 cases (9.62%),26 cases (10.88%) and 149 cases (62.34%),respectively.Conclusions Measles is probably related to irregular vaccination or antibody level drop, with the clinical feature of heavy viremia as well as liver damage.
