ISO/9000 Quality Management System and university management

The introduction of ISO 9000 quality management system into universities will promote the improvements of higher education methodology in university.The fundamental concepts of ISO 900 family are introduced first in this paper.The emphasis is then focused on the conformance between ISO 900 quality management system and university management,including eight quality management principles: customer focus,leadership,involvement of people,process approach,system approach to management,continual improvement,factual approach to decision making,and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
