A Probe into the New Teaching Model of College English Teaching Reform

Abstract

Since September 2004,the Ministry of Education of China has been carrying out College English teaching reform,and has achieved satisfactory results. But some problems still exist,hindering the smooth progress of the reform.The present article first describes the background of the College English teaching reform,followed by and introduction of a new teaching model,and the analysis of the existing problems.The paper ends with some measures for the improvement of the new model.
