Abstract
The filial piety as Chinese traditional culture has two basic meanings: one is esteeming life highly,the other is respecting filially the parents,and the characteristic of this kind of filial piety takes a premise of the fathers' righteousness,and is bidirectional.But with the development of the feudalistic society,the filial piety headed for the opposition of the two meanings,and became unilateralism.So the feudalistic piety was animadverted in the modern age,and declined.
