Experience of laparoscopic cholecystectomy for acute cholelecystitis

Abstract

Objective:To explore the essential technical points of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy(LC) in treatment of acute cholecystitis.Methods: Information on 530 subjects with acute cholecystitis who were hospitalized during March 2003 to March 2010 were retrospectively collected.Results:LC was performed successfully in 500 cases.Complications occurred in two cases,and a total of 30 subjects conversed to open cholecystectomy occurred.Conclusion: LC is feasible and safe for acute cholecystitis,and conversion is the best way to decrease complications.
