Abstract
This paper studied the effects of different nitrogen rates and nitrogen ratios on yield and grain quality of Suijing 4(panicle weight type cultivar)and Kenjiandao 6(panicle quantity type cultivar)by using split plot design. The results showed that the highest yield of panicle weight type cultivar is at nitrogen rate 150 kg/hm2 and nitrogen ratio 7 ∶3, the highest yield of panicle quantity type cultivar is at nitrogen rate 120 kg/hm2 and nitrogen ratio 7∶3. Reasonable application of nitrogen fertilizer could improve grain quality, especially cooking and eating quality. Under this experiment condition, the nitrogen application of 128 kg/hm2 would gain the best grain quality.
