Abstract
In this paper, we have studied the rheological property of polymer solution. The result indicates that at certain experimental conditions, the viscosity of polymer solution will decrease with the increase of shear rate according to the rule of power law exponent. The viscosity of polymer solution is related to the mass concentration in solution, the salinity in water, the temperature and the molal weight of polymer solution. It will increase with the increase of both mass concentration polymer solution and molal weight of polyarylamide(PAM). But with the increase of salinity in water, the viscosity of solution will decrease. The salinity of water cannot affect the viscosity of xanthan gum solution.
