Abstract

The modified chitosan (CAM) was made by graft co-polymerization of chitosan and acrylamide using the ammonium persulfate as initiator and the mass ratio of chitosan and acrylamide is 1∶2,reaction temperature is (30℃).The results of flocculating experiments of CAM on kaolin suspension and dyeing waste water indicated that CAM has a typical character of cation high moleculer flocculation and better flocculating ability than chitosan . The removal rate of COD_(Cr) of dyeing waste water enhanced by 30% in flocculant's adding quantity reduced by 80%.
