Abstract
Objective To make a rational use of live attenuated and inactivated vaccine against Japanese encephalitis, and reduce the rate of immunization reaction and increase the immune effect. We conducted a prospective study on the united immunity with live attenuated vaccine and inactivated vaccine. Methods Children aged 6~11 months who was negative for serum antibody before the basic immunization, were given 2 injections with inactivated vaccine for basic immunization and 1 injection in the second year with live attenuated vaccine for booster immunization. The immune effects were tracked. Result The serum positive rates of the united immunization group, the inactivated vaccine group?the live attenuated vaccine group reached 82.3%?89.9%and 83.1% respectively after the basic immunization, showing no significant difference by χ 2 test (χ 2=3.22,n=2,P0.05). The positive rates of neutralizing antibody for the united group rose to 100% after boster immunization. There was no significant difference by comparing the positive rates of the united group with the rate of the inactivated group(95.3%) and the live attenuated vaccine group(97.4%). Conclusion Results showed that the united immunization in infants who had been immunized with two doses of inactivated vaccine for basic immunization and one injections in the second year with live attenuated vaccine for booster immunization was effective and safe.
