On Defining a Word according to the Context in Explanations of Words in Ancient Books

Abstract
To define a word according to the context is the most popular way to explain the meanings of a word in explanations of words in ancient books.Based on the documents,ancient and latest,concerning explanations of words in ancient books,this paper expounds the exact definitions of the word context and the word meaning as well as the inner relation between them,and discusses the recipes for analyzing the context and the principles of or the requirements for defining a word according to the context.
