The Evolution of Regional Specialization Pattern in Transforming China

Abstract

This paper discusses the features of provincial specialization and the dynamics of regional division of labor patterns in China.Since 1990,regional specialization level gradually increases;specialized sections develop fast due to utilizing comparative advantages,while the strength of specialized sections diverse among different regions;the technological level of specialized sections also increase by these years;the vertical pattern of division of labor still holds its main status,which goes against reducing the regional income disparity.Thus the setup of new type of regional division of labor pattern,and the upgrade of regional specialized department should be put into practice soon.
