Study on heterosis of several pumpkin agronomic characters

54 pumpkin crosses were made by representative fifteen inbred lines in multiple line cross method.38 crosses were selected in random and analyzed.The results showed that pumpkin heterosis is at large in 38 crosses.the average and highest of yield、weight of single fruit、soluble solid content mid-parent heterosis are 0.177、0.034、0.006 and 1.28、0.768、0.441 respectively.whether average or the highest,yield has obvious mid-parent heterosis then weight of single fruit and soluble solid content.The highest GCA of yield and soluble solid content are 112 and 229 in six test-crossing pumpkin inbred lines.
