Abstract

Objective:To investigate the value of realtime contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) on differential diagnosis of hypoechoic focal lesion in liver.Method:Color doppler and real-time sonovue-enhanced ultrasound was used in 75 patients of hypoechoic focal lesion in liver detected by 2D scan, final diagnosis was confirmed by contrast enhanced CT,contrast enhanced MR and pathological results.Result:In 75 patients of hypoechoic focal lesion in liver,18 cases were hepatocellular carcinomas,12 cases were metastatic carcinomas,20 cases of hemangiomas,5 cases of focal nodular hyperplasias(FNH),13 cases of focal areas of sparing in hepatic steatosis and 7 cases of cirrhotic noduls, the true diagnosis were 80% with CDFI ultrasound contrasts 97% with CEUS.Conclusion:Real-time CEUS technique may be an effective and reliable method for assessing hypoechoic focal lesion in liver, with significant value in differentiating benign liver tumor from malignant one.
